Carling Cup 1st Round: Forest v Bradford
Nottingham ForestPublished August 11, 2009 at 3:28 pm Comments OffNottingham Forest have a pretty poor record in recent seasons when it comes to playing in the early rounds of the cup against lower league opposition and tomorrow nights clash at the City Ground is set to be an equally difficult time for the Forest fans.
Forest may have signed plenty of players during the summer but already we are looking very light in defence with Perch, Bennett, Wilson (all injured), Gunter (international duty) and Chambers (Suspended) missing from the game and leaving us with just Morgan and Lynch with any real 1st team experience.
Forest youngsters Jordan Fairclough, Aaron Mitchell and Sean McCashin have been added to the squad.
Forest had a good result at the weekend with a 0-0 away at reading while Bradford had a torrid time across the trent going down 5-0 to Sven’s Notts County.
Robert Earnshaw will also be missing from this match as he joins Chris Gunter on international duty for Wales. I would expect that Blackstock will start the game and Adebola will get the night off, Anderson should also get a chance in place of Joe Garner, McGuigan is also likely to come into the side.
