I haven’t posted on here for ages!

I’m never really sure what sort of stuff to put on, anyway i’ve been really busy recently which does give me an excuse for not updating on here. Currently i am in the process of renaming my company and developing lots of new sites and redesigning existing ones.

World Cup Match Day 2

// June 11th, 2010 // Comments Off // Nottingham Forest

After the excitement of opening game with South Africa so close to pulling off a shock victory over Mexico (hitting the post in the final stages) followed by what will hopefully be the most boring game of the competition, another game like France v Uruguay will be enough to put anyone off watching a game of football ever again! Day 2 brings 3 games to keep you entertained while the rest of the family are out shopping/playing in the garden/cooking or whatever it is you can get them to do to leave you in peace to watch the World Cup.

1st up we have South Korea v Greece (12:30 kickoff), which is probably one of those games most of the population aren’t that interested in but will end up being the game of the tournament – if your Interested Victor Chandler can’t split them with both down at 7/4 and the draw 11/5.

Game 2 brings a potentially explosive match with Argentina taking on Nigeria over with the boys and girls at Sky Bet they are offering a rather tempting 6/1 on a Nigeria win and just 1/2 for an Argentina win.

The final game of the day is the one we have all been waiting for USA v England, the questions everyone has been asking will be answered and we will know if England are a serious contender for the World Cup.

Paddy Power have England at 8/15 with USA 11/2 and the draw is 3/1. It is also worth mentioning that PaddyPower have a money back special on the game.

If Wayne Rooney scores at any time, Paddy Power will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles on the match.

World Cup Match Day 1

// June 10th, 2010 // Comments Off // Nottingham Forest

The World Cup starts on friday with 2 games.

In game 1 hosts South Africa take on Mexico at 3pm (uk time).

Paddypower are currently offering 7/4 for a South Africa win with Mexico 8/5 and the draw is 11/5. Sky Bet don’t give South Africa much chance putting that at 15/8 with Mexico at 6/4

Game 2 of the day is Uruguay v France (7:30pm), Paddypower have Uruguay at 11/4, France at 11/10 and the Draw is 11/5. Sky Bet have the odds for a France or Uruguay win exactly the same as Paddypower but they have the draw at 9/4.

updated Championship odds 2010/11

// June 2nd, 2010 // Comments Off // Nottingham Forest

Following on from last weeks post on the odds for the winners of the 2010/11 championship season, I thought I would have 1 last look before the world cup starts.

Victor Chandler didn’t have the championship odds on the site last week but they are now up and no surprise they have made Forest 9/1 joint favourites

Last week Paddypower had us down as 8/1 2nd favourites with Reading but this week they have put Forest to 10/1 (still 2nd favourites but now with Reading, QPR, Burnley and Middlesbrough).

Finally Skybet have cut Forest’s odds from 12/1 to 10/1 this week. Sky Bet are still offering 4/1 on forest to achieve promotion.

England World Cup squad confirmed

// June 1st, 2010 // Comments Off // Nottingham Forest

Fabio Cappelo has confirmed his 23 man squad to take England to World Cup Glory in South Africa:

1 – David James
2 – Glen Johnson
3 – Ashley Cole
4 – Steven Gerrard
5 – Michael Dawson*
6 – John Terry
7 – Aaron Lennon
8 – Frank Lampard
9 – Peter Crouch
10 – Wayne Rooney
11 – Joe Cole
12 – Robert Green
13 – Stephen Warnock
14 – Gareth Barry
15 – Matthew Upson
16 – James Milner
17 – Shaun Wright-Phillips
18 – Jamie Carragher
19 – Jermaine Defoe
20 – Ledley King
21 – Emile Heskey
22 – Michael Carrick
23 – Joe Hart

The unlucky 7 to miss out are Tom Huddlestone, Michael Dawson, Theo Walcot, Darren Bent, Scott Parker, Leighton Baines and Adam Johnson

England are currently 7/1 with Nottingham Forest sponsors Victor Chandler to win the World Cup, will this squad selection change the odds?

Personally i’m shocked that Ledley King has been taken, he looked awful against Mexico and then wasn’t fit enough to play against Japan – He is unlikely to play any game but i’d much rather see Dawson go along for the experience because in 4 years time he will probably be 1 of the main men in the England back 4.

* Rio Ferdinand was injured in Englands first training session in South Africa and Michael Dawson was called up as his replacement

World Cup warmup England v Japan

// May 30th, 2010 // Comments Off // Nottingham Forest

England play Japan today (Kickoff 1:15) in a final warmup game before the World Cup starts on the 11th June.

Former Forest player Michael Dawson is once again set to miss out and that must mean that he won’t be making the trip to South Africa as he has missed out on both warm up games.

Back to todays game…

Sky Bet and Paddypower have England at 1/4 which lets be honest is not very good odds at all. Victor Chandler are only offering 1/5! I don’t quite believe it will be as 1 sided as the bookmakers are making out and to be honest i wouldn’t be surprised if Japan pull off a small win (best odds for a Japan win are 14/1 at Victor Chandler)

Paddypower have a money back special on todays game

Heading to South Africa!!
Money-Back Special
If the last goal in this match is a header, Paddy Power will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles on the match.

Don’t forget you can also play along with todays game on Picklive

Championship odds 2010/11

// May 27th, 2010 // Comments Off // Nottingham Forest

The Coca-Cola Championship may only have finished last weekend but we already have an early indication as to who the bookmakers think will be battling out for the title next season..

According to Paddypower Cardiff are favourites at 15/2 and have Forest at 8/1 (with Reading!) with Middlesbrough at 9/1. The new teams into the division Hull 10/1, Burnley 11/1, Norwich 14/1, Portsmouth 14/1, Leeds 16/1.

Over on Sky Bet they appear to have put no thought at all into how teams have done this season or how good the players are that they have. Sky Bet have for some reason decided that Burnley are the favourites at 7/1 with Reading and QPR 2nd favourites at 10/1. Nottingham Forest are 12/1 along with Cardiff, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Leicester.

Sky Bet also offer odds on acheiving promotion and have Forest listed at 4/1.

Nottingham has it’s very own World Cup song courtesy of Twiggy and Emma from Radio Trent with a little bit of help from Phil Rostance and the Marshall Band and 14,000 school children from around the county.

Details of how where to buy a copy can be found on the TrentFM website along with details of the 2 charities that will benefit from the profits.
